About Us
1st Class Energy Training and Assessment1st Class Energy was established in 2006 at Unit 1a Woodgate Way North, Glenrothes to provide Gas, Plumbing and Oil training and assessments for registered engineers and to others wishing to become “new entrants” into the sector.
Over the years our portfolio has grown to include Electrical and Renewable technology courses.
Who we are
In 2006 we made the decision to branch away from delivering training and assessments at several further Education Colleges and opened our very own ‘state of the art’ centre on Woodside Industrial Estate, Glenrothes.
We are a well respected, friendly and professional team of experienced trainers and assessors who have all worked in the plumbing and/or gas industries prior to joining 1st Class Energy.
Our aim is to provide stress free training and assessment in a modern, well equipped environment for all of our customers, whatever their individual background or experience may be.

Fiona Provan
Fiona joined 1st Class Energy Training & Assessment in June 2017 and has over 20 years’ experience in business management.
Kevin Todd
Kevin joined 1st Class Energy Training & Assessment in 2006 after a 21 year career in the gas industry and has 26 years of experience in the training and assessment environment.
Gary Haggart
Gary joined 1st Class Energy Training & Assessment in October 2020 after a 20 year career in the gas and OFTEC Oil industry and has over 15 years of experience in the training and assessment environment.
Kayleigh Hamilton
Kayleigh joined 1st Class Energy Training & Assessment in October 2023 and has 15 years’ experience in the customer service environment.
